Job Purpose
The Livelihood Mobilizer acts as a bridge between ACTED and beneficiary communities, ensuring implementation of Women and Youth empowerment and livelihood activities. Responsibilities include needs assessment, mobilization, targeting, validation, registration, verification, surveys, training, monitoring, and collaboration with local authorities and agencies.
Key Functions
1. Assessment and mobilization: Conduct field needs assessments, support MEAL activities, oversee beneficiary registration and targeting, and mobilize the community.
2. Monitoring: Follow up and monitor empowerment and livelihood activities.
3. Supervision and Training: Develop beneficiary engagement plans, training guides, community sensitization plans, and conduct training.
4. Reporting: Provide accountability and timely reports to Project Manager, including field trip and monitoring visit reports.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Minimum Diploma in Sociology/Social Science, Community Development or related field.
- At least 2 years relevant experience, preferably with humanitarian organizations.
- Strong team player with integrity and ability to work independently.
- Understanding of market systems, value chains, and community capacity building.
- Good interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in local languages and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of Gender and Social Inclusion is a plus.
- Willingness to work in hardship environments.
- Computer literacy with MS Office 365.
- Experience in resource-based conflict areas is an added advantage.
