Interns must be between 20 and 36 years old and should have less than two years of relevant working experience.In general, the Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who: a) have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities; b) are holding a scholarship for internship placements in international organizations and/or for whom internship is required to complete their studies; or c) are sponsored by governmental/non governmental institutions and/or academia to work in specific areas relevant to both IOM and the sponsor. d) are either enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent) or have graduated in the last 12 months. e) are between 20 and 36 years of age.Background InformationThe International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an intergovernmental organization, founded in 1951, which plays a leading role on the migration scene. With 175 member states, a further 8 states holding observer status and offices in 171 countries, IOM is dedicated to promoting human and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing support to migrants across the world, developing effective responses to the shifting dynamics of migration and providing advice on migration policy and practice.The organization collaborates with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners to improve the resilience of people on the move, particularly those in situations of vulnerability. It also works closely with governments to manage all forms of mobility, and their impacts. This work includes operations in some of the most complex emergency settings in the world. The IOM Constitution recognizes the link between migration and economic, social and cultural development, as well as to the right of freedom of movement.Under the overall supervision of the Project Coordinator Counter Trafficking and Child Protection and supervision of the Senior Project Associate; in collaboration with relevant units at the Country Office and with implementing partners, the intern will assist with the implementation of projects activities and partnerships of Counter-Trafficking projects at the IOM Morocco Country Office in Rabat.ResponsibilitiesSupervision: Under the overall supervision of the Project Coordinator Counter Trafficking and Child Protection and supervision of the Senior Project Associate.QualificationsEducation/ExperienceBe enrolled in the final academic year of a university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); or be enrolled in a graduate degree programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or have graduated with a university or graduate degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within one-year of graduation.SkillsExcellent computer skills, particularly in SAP software, and MS Office applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and Internet Explorer.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Rigor, diligence, flexibility, and adaptability to the context.Motivation to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.Ability to work independently and autonomously as well as in a team, with a sense of responsibility.Knowledge of migration issues is an asset.LanguagesFluency in English and French (oral and written).Working knowledge of Arabic.IOM's official languages are English, French and Spanish. Les missions peuvent inclure, mais sans s'y limiter :Assister à la rédaction et la traduction d’articles pour le site web de l'ONU au Maroc (en arabe et en français)Assister à la mise à jour des comptes sur les réseaux sociauxRédiger et éditer du contenu, y compris le montage vidéo adapté aux réseaux sociauxAssister l'équipe UNIC dans la surveillance des médias et des réseaux sociaux et la liaison avec les médias concernésAssister à la liaison quotidienne avec la société civile, le monde académique, les ONG dans les pays concernésAssister à la préparation et l’organisation des événementsEffectuer d'autres tâches assignéesQualifications / compétences :Les candidats doivent remplir l’une des conditions suivantes :(a) Être inscrit ou avoir terminé un programme d’études supérieures (second niveau universitaire ou équivalent, ou plus)(b) Être inscrit ou avoir terminé la dernière année d'un premier diplôme universitaire (minimum licence ou équivalent)Être étudiant en dernière année de licence, master ou doctorat ou avoir terminé ces diplômes. Aucune expérience professionnelle n’est requise mais un domaine d’études en lien avec le stage est nécessaire. Une preuve devra être fournie lors de la candidature.Langues : La maîtrise écrite et orale de l’anglais et du français est requise. La maîtrise de l’arabe est également nécessaire.Compétences complémentaires : Aptitude à rédiger des articles, posts sur les réseaux sociaux, et créer des contenus de communication incluant le montage vidéo. Bonne connaissance des outils standards MS Word, MS PowerPoint. La conception d’enquêtes et sondages est un plus.Informations complémentaires : Les stagiaires ne sont pas rémunérés par l’ONU. Les frais de voyage, visa, hébergement et vie sont à la charge des stagiaires ou de leurs institutions de parrainage. Les non-résidents peuvent devoir obtenir les autorisations nécessaires.
