Job Description
Who We Are: Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa’s farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. This is all made possible by our team of 9,000+ full-time staff, drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. The Nigeria program, established in 2018, is headquartered in Minna, Niger state, serving over 300,000 unique farmers through various programs.

The Management Trainee Program (MTP) is One Acre Fund Nigeria’s flagship early-career leadership development pathway designed for driven, analytical, mission-aligned young professionals wanting to build a meaningful career in social impact. It is a structured 6-month program combining cross-functional rotations, project-based learning, and continuous coaching, preparing trainees for management roles.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Rotate through departments such as Programmes Division, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning, Supply Chain & Logistics, People Operations, and Product Innovations.
- Support planning, supervision, and daily operations.
- Analyse operational data and present insights.
- Shadow managers and contribute to leadership routines.
- Execute project components and improve processes.
- Deliver measurable results aligned with objectives.

Requirements
- 2-3 years of professional experience.
- Passion for social impact and operational excellence.
- Strong work ethic, resilience, and ethics.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel an asset.
- Excellent communication and quantitative reasoning skills.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to work collaboratively.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree an asset.
- Fluency in English.
- Openness to coaching and continuous growth.

Preferred Start Date: February 2026
Duration: 6 Months
