Job Title: Cleaner (Talent Pool)

Location: Abuja

Contract: 208 working hours per month / Level: 01

Main Purpose: To maintain a pool of qualified and talented candidates for this position who may be employed as needed. The role involves performing housekeeping and cleaning duties in line with hygiene standards to ensure all areas remain clean and well-maintained.

Job Description:

  • Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets and other rooms in MSF houses/offices.
  • Do the laundry, iron clothes and other housekeeping activities.
  • Support the cook (washing up, cleaning the kitchen, etc.).
  • Sweep and mop the floors.
  • Restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as required.
  • Upon arrival, prepare hot water for tea/coffee and refill drinking water.
  • Check that the toilets are well stocked with paper, soap and condoms.
  • Check that the water supply (kitchen, showers, etc.) is sufficient during water cuts.
  • Keep premises properly locked (doors, windows).

Requirements:

  • Education: Literacy, desirable secondary education.
  • Experience: Desirable, work experiences as Cleaner with MSF or other NGOs.
  • Language: English and Hausa languages are essential.
  • Competencies: Commitment to MSF Principles, Behavioural Flexibility, Stress Management, Results and Quality Orientation, Teamwork and Cooperation, Service Orientation.

Remuneration: As per MSF salary scale (National contract).
